As before we have the Palestinian Leadership and Israeli Leaders talking, and that is a good thing as when they are talking there seems to be a lot less shooting. Still we find so many folks completely skeptical of any peace deal. After all, there is a lot of hate on one side and a lot of history between them. One follower of these and previous peace talks of the region stated that he did not believe peace was possible, not ever. Others say:
.. .. ..it is just ridiculous to fault Israel for the plight of the "Olive Farmers" (that's about all they produce besides hate). They are so busy fighting each other, kidnapping their political opponents and sending little kids into Israel to "blow up buses" with innocent civilians on them, no wonder they cannot get along. No one in the Arab world considers those who call themselves Palestinians worthy anything more than dirt and that is their own people taking.
Nevertheless, the US and Israel are in peace talks to get things moving again with the Palestinians, but how long will that last, peace in the middle east, many believe is not a chance. Some of the more harsh critics say:
You cannot make peace with ignorance and belligerence, while they train the next generation of haters in the region.
If a potential peace agreement is reached that would be one heck of an accomplishment in the current period, and one that would have President Bush critics shaking their heads, wondering how he was able to pull that off. Time will tell.
